Office Summer Outing to Southwold
This week the Wynne-Williams team ventured to the Suffolk coast for our customary summer outing.
The day began with a leisurely walk through Walberswick and a coffee stop at The Black Dog Deli, where the sausage rolls were a big hit. We then wandered to the banks of the River Blyth and took the ferry across to Southwold, with the ferryman doing well to squeeze all eleven of us into his small rowing boat.
Upon landing on the Southwold side of the river, we stopped for lunch at The Harbour Inn. Of course, being by the seaside, this meant that fish and chips was a popular choice! Blue skies and glorious sunshine provided the perfect conditions to enjoy a meal together outside.
The outing continued with a ramble across open fields and through Southwold Golf Club, luckily avoiding any stray golf balls, before arriving at the famous Adnams Brewery. There we followed the brewing process on an organised tour, finishing with a selection of tasters and a trip to the gift shop.
Following the walk and ferry back to Walberswick, a great day was rounded off with an ice cream in the last of the afternoon sun.
