A Virtual Return to Writtle University College
This semester, the WWA staff have been helping to deliver the Landscape Professional Practice module to Landscape Architecture masters students at Writtle University College. We have a long-standing relationship with the college, which has helped train almost half of our staff, so it has been great for Gill Wynne-Williams, Bobby Browne and Alex Hooper to virtually return to share their professional and career experience with the class of 2021.
Gill has delivered sessions focusing on writing fee proposals, fostering professional relationships, and contract administration, whilst Bobby and Alex presented about different methods of tendering projects to potential contractors.
Undergraduate students have also benefitted from our technical industry knowledge with John Latham providing a hard landscape masterclass and helping students in tutorial sessions for the Landscape Architecture Degree programme.
In each of the sessions we have been impressed with the levels of enthusiasm and understanding shown by the students. We look forward to seeing how the next generation of Landscape Architects progresses.
