Wynne-Williams Associates appointed landscape architects for Bury St Edmunds regeneration project
Wynne-Williams Associates have been appointed to a project team led by Pick Everard to develop a masterplan for the Western Way site in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk project management alternatives.
The site has traditionally been used for car parking and warehousing but following the opening of new council offices on the site we are working on a masterplan for regeneration as a mixed-use development.
Gill Wynne-Williams says, “Although we have a lot of experience of masterplanning for urban regeneration projects like this, each site has its own challenges and opportunities and we’re looking forward to see how we can shape and create the landscape at Western Way to make it a vibrant place to live, work and visit.”
The design and development brief and masterplan will be presented to the St Edmundsbury Borough Council by the end of 2016 with a view to development of the plan in 2017.
