Announcing Our New Director Team

We are delighted to announce the appointment of four new directors at Wynne-Williams Associates following the retirement of Matt McGrath and John Latham’s move from director to consultant landscape architect within the company.

Alex, Bobby, Louise and Tom have together amassed a total of 36 years with WWA. They have completed their training and professional development with us under the guidance of Gill and Karen, this provides the company with a great sense of continuity in ethos and approach. Gill is continuing in her role as Managing Director with Karen remaining as a long-standing director.

Introducing the new members of our Director team:

Alex Hooper

Alex Hooper

Alex joined WWA in 2007 after he finished a degree in Landscape and Garden Design. He went on to become a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute in 2014 and was promoted to Associate in 2016. 

“After 15 years at Wynne-Williams Associates, I am now excited to be appointed as a director, continuing to provide excellent services to our clients, providing exciting and award-winning landscape schemes.

My future focus as a director will be on marketing, managing our existing client base, whilst developing new relationships within the construction and design industry. I am passionate about what we do at Wynne-Williams and the service we provide, and I look forward to this new era of the company. “

Louise Dolan

Louise Dolan

Louise joined WWA in 2014 following a background in environmental sciences. She became a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute in 2017 and was made an Associate of WWA in 2019.

“In my new role I will lead the financial management of the company working closely with our office manager Freya, and Tom who leads on business operations. I have responsibility for our legal financial duties, overseeing the day-to day finances, and assessing financial performance to assist my fellow directors in making business decisions.

I am excited to be working as part of the leadership team alongside the existing and new directors, as I continue in my usual role of delivering projects for our clients.”

Tom Johnson

Tom Johnson

Tom joined WWA in 2015 after completing his landscape architecture studies. He completed an MA and shortly afterwards went on to gain chartership in 2019. Tom was made Associate in 2021.

“Since becoming a part of the senior team I have taken a leading role in day-to-day business processes, as well as my landscape projects. My role as part of the director team will be focussed on business operations where I will be responsible for IT and office systems, making and seeing through the outcomes of strategic decisions in collaboration with the other directors, whilst also working with my colleague Louise as part of the financial team.

I am very excited for this opportunity and looking forward to the experience it will bring and the relationships I can build.”

Bobby Browne

Bobby Browne

Bobby joined WWA in 2016 during a career change from teaching Geography and gained his chartership in 2019. Bobby specialises in landscape planning work, also providing evidence as an expert witness. Bobby was promoted to Associate of WWA in 2021.

“In my new role as a Director, I will continue to lead and grow our work in the planning sector. I will also take responsibility for quality assurance. This will focus on ensuring we have the right processes and systems in place to deliver the best possible service for our clients. In addition, I will assist Karen with personnel matters. This will include involvement in training, recruitment, and ensuring staff welfare .I am grateful for the experience I have gained during my years as part of the WWA team and I am excited for the time ahead as a Director.”
