Landscape Architects Volunteer as Industry Experts
Bobby and Tom took part in an industry taster day at Netherhall School in Cambridge last week.
They joined a multi-disciplinary team of construction industry volunteers to provide a ‘real world’ experience for Year 7 students. The day, organised by Form the Future, gave students the opportunity to design an eco-classroom. They took on a variety of roles within a project team, holding professional meetings, producing drawings, and finishing the day by presenting their proposals to a panel of judges. Each team had access to expert advice from architects, surveyors, engineers, and landscape designers.
At WWA we are keen to encourage the next generation of landscape architects and look forward to being involved in similar events in the future.
